Reflections entries are due by November 15, 2019
The PTA Reflections program is currently underway!
This year's Reflections theme is "Look Within". Students may submit as many original pieces of work in as many of the following categories as they wish: Dance choreography, Film Production, Literature, Visual Arts, Photography, Music composition or special artist division. An information packet and entry form have been sent home with your child.
EACH ENTRY SUBMITTED MUST BE THE WORK OF ONE STUDENT ONLY!!

No School on Monday, November 11, 2019
School will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2019 for Veteran's Day.
Family Fun Night is Friday, November 15th from 6:30-8 p.m.
Please join us at Sapphire on Friday night, November 15,2019, at 6:30 p.m. for Family Fun Night sponsored by our PTA. There will be BINGO games and prizes (4 games for $4), Tricky Tray Basket Raffles, and food and refreshments for sale. There will be plenty of chances for prizes and fun!
Soldier Support Day is Saturday, November 16, 2019
The Monroe Girl Scouts and Sapphire Elementary School's Annual Soldier Support Day is Saturday, November 16, 2019. Items will be collected and then sent to our soldiers.
You may Drop off “wish list” items, Stay and help box up the packages, Make a card or an ornament to send along and Visit the “Mess Hall” & buy a treat to help with the mailing costs.
Wish List: Lotion, powders, extra soft TP, toothbrushes, baby wipes, razors, Q-tips, beef jerky, snack mixes, cereal, mints, coffee, tea, drink mixes, spices, pretzels, playing cards, word puzzles, CDs, DVDs, dice, dryer sheets, pens, sewing kits, socks, kitchen paper products, stationary, magazines, & Poptarts.
You can drop off items at Sapphire prior to the event, but we would love to see you there.

No School November 27, 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving Recess
School will be closed on Wednesday, November 27th, Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving Recess.
Half Day of School on Wednesday, November 20, 2019
There will be a half day of school on Wednesday, November 20th. Dismissal will be at 11:45 a.m. Buses should arrive at their stops 3 hours earlier than the normal time. Parent/Teacher conferences will take place in the afternoon. Please schedule a conference using pickAtime.
District Wide Thanksgiving Food Drive
Sapphire will be participating in the annual district-wide Thanksgiving Food Drive, which will be held from November 4th-November 19th. Items will be donated to Sacred Heart Parish Outreach and distributed to Our Father's Kitchen and our local M-W food pantries to assist our families in need. If you are able to donate, please send in one of the following items with your child or drop items off in the Sapphire lobby. Thank you for your support.
